Tracy’s Story
I’m your neighbor, and just like you, I want to keep Fairport thriving.
Fairport isn't just where I live now. It's where I grew up, where I chose to raise my family, and where my husband and I planted our roots for good. I know this village. I walk our tree-lined streets, enjoy our festivals and parades, and love my tight-knit neighborhoods. That's not a talking point. That's a commitment.
I've spent my career in service — and I'm not done.
After 35 years as an educator, I know what it takes to lead. I've chaired departments, mentored colleagues, built programs from the ground up, and served as vice president of our teachers’ union, negotiating contracts and fighting for the people I represented. I didn't just work within systems. I helped shape them. I brought teachers, parents, administrators, and community members to the same table and got results. That's exactly the kind of leadership Fairport needs in its next Mayor.
For the past three years, I've been doing this job.
As your elected Village Trustee, I've shown up — for residents, property owners, business owners, and community organizers alike. I've built working relationships with the Canal Corporation, the Fairport Perinton Merchants, county and regional tourism organizations, and more. I've attended conferences and workshops on open government, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure, strategic planning, and municipal law — because effective leadership requires preparation, not just passion.
I haven't been waiting for the chance to lead. I've been getting ready.
Here's what I believe: Fairport deserves a Mayor who listens before deciding, uses real data to guide real decisions, and never loses sight of who this job is actually for — the residents. You deserve leadership that is transparent, collaborative, and accountable.
I'm asking for your vote — and your trust — to serve as your next Mayor of Fairport. Together, let's make sure the village we love is everything it can be.
How I approach leadership
Good governance starts with strong relationships—with Village staff, first responders, community partners, and with you. I support thoughtful, strategic and incremental growth that fits Fairport's character, protects neighborhoods and green space, and aligns infrastructure with reality.
I am committed to bringing Fairport residents into the process early and often. Not as a formality, but as a genuine voice in shaping our community's future. Your input shouldn't be a checkbox. It should be the foundation.
Above all, I want Fairport residents to feel proud of how decisions are made, even when those decisions aren't easy.
